Description

The British army DPM (Disruptive Pattern Material) design is one of the most iconic military looks. Soldiers have been using this design both on and off the field for many years. However the pattern has been mostly replaced by MTP (Multi Terrain Pattern) gear.

These smocks have been through the thick of it with Army life. Some may have non-working zippers, repairs, missing tabs or buttons. Equipped with pockets everywhere and tough material, with a bit of TLC and a sewing kit you can get plenty more life out of them for a rock bottom price. Ideal for any hunters or airsofters looking to really rough it out!

Features:

  • Genuine British surplus
  • Two buttoned chest pockets
  • Two zip napoleon pockets
  • Two buttoned waist pockets
  • Zip front closure

Excellent

OK, so I bought a 'good quality' one of these some weeks back, thinking it would be a 'used' item for rough work. Turns out I reckon it's too good to use in the workshop etc. So I bought a 'grade 2', with the description being 'well used, broken zips etc., etc.', expecting a real rough example for 'down and dirty'. I received a smock that was a bit more faded than my good one, due to a good many washes. No stitching repairs anywhere to be seen, all zips in perfect order, and...., one button missing from a pocket! Five minutes with a needle and thread, and it has another button. Incredible!

good value

exactly as described, bit of a lucky dip, 1st one I ordered was pretty much mint, a few quality British MOD repairs, zips were good.
2nd one on a seperate order had no repairs, but a broken main zip pretty much as shown in the pictures on the listing. A thin good quality cable tie through the mechanism and the zip goes up and down (easy fix) good bang for your bus if you looking for working gear that has plenty of decent sized pockets for tape measure, pencil / pens, screws or nails. if it gets covered in mess its done its job

Well worth the money.

The one I received was in pretty good nick, I was very surprised and very happy.
a well worn in comfortable jacket, been washed so many times it’s got that fade and feels more like moleskin than cotton. Nice to wear as it’s not as stiff as a newer one can be, mine has had a lot of TLC in the sewing room, I am picking the squaddie that had this jacket really liked it and wanted to keep it going.
