Description
The Philippines flag adopted their flag in 1998 but the original design which is very similar dates back to 1898. The flag has two main strips of blue and red with a white triangle on the hoist side. Upon that their is a sun with eight rays that represent the a Philippine province each. The three 5 pointed stars in the white triangle represent the country's three main island groups.
The flag has a white strip on the side with two metal eyelets.
