The US Army came up with a unique design during World War 2 - a splice of beanie and cap! Originally designed to be worn under a helmet for padding and warmth, many troops including jeep drivers would wear these standalone. Produced from 1942 continuously to the present proves their popularity with the troops and public. Made in the USA from 100% wool they have a loose weave to provide plenty of stretch - one size fits most!
