Description

Ah, the illustrious jackboot! Picture a fashionista's nightmare and a dictator's dream, all rolled into one. Jackboots (or Marching Boots -  Marschstiefel) are notorious for their authoritarian tendencies. They're the go-to footwear for those who want to assert their dominance with a satisfying thud.

In terms of construction, the boots are made from leather and have a rubber sole. The legging is 12 inches long which provides protection half-way up the calf. Pull tabs at the top allow quick and easy donning of the boots. Don't miss out on a genuine pair of jackboots. An ideal choice for motorbike riding.

Features:

  • Genuine East German surplus
  • Tough exterior leather construction
  • 12" legging (from top of sole)
  • Rubber sole

Arrived much quicker than expected. The condition of the boots are great and fit tight. I would recommend half or one size bigger if you prefer a looser fit. 10/10

Great with one flaw.

They look great, feel pretty good to wear, and buff up well with a bit of polish, the high legging and lack of laces make them useful to wear outdoors and in the bush.

However be weary of walking on concrete or hard, abrasive surfaces. I have only had mine for a few weeks and the heels of the rubber souls are already showing signs of wear and small pieces are peeling off. I don't know if this is because of the boots age or if the rubber quality is not the best (I suspect the latter). Since the whole soul is made of a single piece of rubber this will be difficult to repair and impossible to replace if damaged too heavily.

For this reason I think it is essential for anyone buying these to add extra protection to boots like heel and toe plates before using them to any great extent.

Still though would recommend
