These envelope styled caps are genuine surplus, issued to East German garrison troops. Garrison caps have a unique and particularly stylish look. Anyone collecting military surplus would find this hat to be a nice addition to their assortment of gear. If you happen to be attending reenactments or fancy dress parties, it'll be hard to find a more authentic piece of headwear.
