Description
Cracks might have been showing slowly in the East German government but the military was planning on rolling out a updated uniform set for 1990 - but never got to be fully rolled out. The acronym of the new UTV uniform rollout stood for the 'Universale Tragevorrichtung' - roughly translated as 'Universal Load Carrying Equipment.' These caps were part of that new uniform set.
These caps are pretty simple in nature with less seams and bells & whistles. A bendable peak shades the users eyes from the sun and also has ventilation holes to help your hair breathe. Apart from the odd over zealous socialist whole puncher, these caps are in unissued condition having seen no 'action' in the Cold War.
