Description
Tanzania adopted their flag in 1964 when the country became united that year from Tanganyika and Zanzibar. Three of the colours represent the ocean and natural resources of the country. The black strip represents the Swahili people native to the land.
The flag has a white strip on the side with two metal eyelets.
