Description

*Note* Hues and weaves vary widely on these from sage green to blues and greys - Please see the last image for an example. These will be picked at random

There's no looking back once you've worn a wool balaclava from the Swiss Army. It provides warmth to the head and face without being too thick and bulky. The one-hole design keeps your chin, cheeks and head covered while leaving a space for goggles to be worn. Being wool, it provides excellent insulating properties and will perform better in the wet than many other balaclavas. This piece of army surplus comes in a civilian-friendly greenish/blue/grey colour. Perfect for winter mornings on the bike or for skiing and snowboarding.

  • Genuine Swiss Army surplus

Lightweight, awesome fit, unique colour

The fit is firm, like a second skin. While not a 'deal-breaker', this product is pictured in sage green, but the one I received is taud (a bluey-grey colour), hence why only 4 stars given. No NSN numbers or tags, but very well made. Fine knit pure wool- not as fine or fluffy as the woolen British Army Headover, but still a fine, lightweight knit. Good for cold conditions while mobile, as you can breath through your nose while wearing it. Looks a bit awkward in the picture, but you quickly become accustomed to wearing it. Doesn't really work if pulled below the chin though, if that's your plan. This would likely over stretch the wool rendering it sloppy.
