In the event of a large scale war, the Swiss military have produced a staggering amount of these candles for both military and civil use in bunkers. Torches may project light in a way candles never will, but candles are a brilliant inexpensive way to keep a room lit. Because of this factor alone, candles are a must for any emergency kit.
