Description

The Dutch military inherited a lot of US ordnance post World War 2. Among the gear given to them was a bunch of M1 carbines. The M1 was no less popular with US troops as it was especially with Dutch Air Force personnel guarding airstrips. Lightweight and portable makes sentry life easy! Strangely enough, the Dutch decided to make their own M1 inspired pouches in a blue/grey for the Air Force.

These pouches mainly function like their US counterparts however the main difference is the loops at the rear - they are not as wide and don't fit over a carbine stock (as many US troops did with theirs). Instead they will happily fit web belts up to 7cm in width. A single snap stud closure secures both magazines and the pouch itself is made from durable cotton canvas.

Authentic US versions are very hard (and expensive) to come by - these Dutch versions remain so far relatively inexpensive and a great option for M1 carbine users.
