Description
Upon Botswana gaining independence they adopted their current flag at the same time in 1966. The light blue represents specifically rain water - a lifeline in Botswana for agriculture. The black and white lines present the two main races in Botswana and also represents the country's national animal, the zebra.
The flag has a white strip on the side with two metal eyelets.
