This case would have held a cleaning kit for The StG58 rifle, developed based on the Belgian FN FAL automatic rifle, saw active service from 1958 to 1977. It was issued to all riflemen as standard equipment.

It bears the RG 62 label and is designed in a style reminiscent of the 1930s German RG 34, with compartments for storing cleaning accessories and the pull-through tool. 

Dual compartments, one on the top and one on the bottom, providing convenient storage options for items like brushes and combo wrenches on one side.

On the opposite side, there's a foldable section designed for the bore snake.
