Description

These reproduction butt packs are loosely based on the US M-1956 LCE (Load-Carrying-Equipment) version issued in the 1960's. Made from cotton canvas they were later replaced by nylon versions as the material was not suited to humid combat environments. None the less, they served on for the majority of the Vietnam War.

These were designed primarily to be positioned on your butt at the rear of your LCE webbing. Alternatively these can be used with a sling (included) to be worn over the shoulder incase you need a go bag. Consisting of one main compartment with a internal nylon liner which can be used to sub-divide wet & dry gear. Alternatively you can fit whole K-ration pack inside.

If you want something modeled on a great bit of kit without the real deal wear & tear, then these are a great option for airsoft!

Features:

  • ALICE/LCE compatible
  • Cotton canvas construction
  • Detachable back/carry strap included
  • Dual strap opening & bottom straps for retention
  • Internal nylon liner (with hole at the bottom to divide storage)
  • Side panels for attaching extra ALICE clip pouches

Very Convenient Little Pack

This replica buttpack is perfect for short 1 day or overnight adventures providing good weather. You can carry a surprisingly high amount of Stuff In it. The inside of this pack can fit a decent amount of food and some spare clothes inside. I run it on the rear of a Web Belt, 2-quart canteen on the left side, Saw Pouch on the right, and a Sleeping bag, Tarp, and Poncho rolled up and hung below the pack suspended with the two straps, Knife hung of the eyelets on the lid and a compass pouch attached to the carry handle. Or you can run it slick as a daypack. You won't get a tent in there, so check the weather conditions if you consider going out with just this pack. but the great part is that this works brilliantly in addition to almost any other pack.
Plus it has that Vietnam War cool-factor that makes it really worth getting, however, being a reproduction, the Slide Keepers aren't the best, so I recommend replacing them with some original keepers to prevent them from coming undone.
