Description
You can't spell '58 pattern' without the pain of kidney pouches! The 58 pattern webbing system came out just prior to the 1960's and was designed to replace the dated 37 pattern that had served through World War 2 and Korea. It wasn't until the 1990's it got replaced with the PLCE system. The kidney pouches were designed to store 24 hour ration packs, utensils, cooker, spare clothes and the likes and would sit at the rear of your back/waist.
Made from thick cotton canvas, these are pretty dam robust. Each pouch is opened with a quick pull tab to access one large main compartment. On the rear of the pouches is a series of straps, rings and clips to secure them to the rest of the webbing system. For those who love anything Falklands kit or the likes, a set of these is a must. Grab a set for airsoft, long range hunting, or the ol' militaria collection.
