Description

The Italian army was very similar to the other major powers of World War 2 in that they continued using bolt action designs from the First World War. In the Italians case, that was the Carcano (of various models). Most of these pouches there are no legible dates present, but the design dates back to 1907 so we estimate these to be anywhere from WW1 to WW2 in production dates.

This pouch was designed to carry 3 x 6 round clips in each pocket to feed a Carcano (for a total of 6 clips together). Each pocket can be opened individually with a tab that wraps around to the bottom where you can yank it off a metal stud pretty quickly/easily. Attaching these is a pretty simple affair with a 3.5cm belt loop on the back. There is also a D-ring on the top rear so you can attach a web harness should you wish. Full leather construction with what looks like hand stitching - they don't make them like these anymore!

With some potentially over a century old these definitely won't be around forever - add to your Italian army collection with one of these pouches today!
