Description
The flag of Saint Kitts and Nevis was adopted in 1983 on the same day they became an independent country. The green represents the country's fertile land, while the red stands for the fight for freedom against slavery and colonialism. The yellow stripes represent the sunshine the islands enjoy all year round, and the black represents the people's African origins. The two stars on the black band symbolize hope and liberty.
The flag has a white strip on the side with two metal eyelets.
