Description
Niue adopted their flag in 1975. The flag features the Union Jack in the upper left on top of a yellow background. It is a unique design in which stars have been added directly added into the Union Jack itself. The Union Jack represents the protection granted by the United Kingdom in 1900 and carried out by the New Zealand government in 1901.
The flag has a white strip on the side with two metal eyelets.
