Description
Mauritius adopted their flag in 1968 after achieving independence from the United Kingdom. The red stripe represents the struggle for independence, the blue stands for the Indian Ocean. The yellow stripe represents the new era of independence and the green stands for Mauritius' agriculture.
The flag has a white strip on the side with two metal eyelets.
