Description

Jungle boots are a combat boot that was designed for jungle environments, or hot, wet and humid conditions. They have vent holes and a canvas upper to aid in ventilation and moisture drainage. First tested in Panama and then used in WWII, most notably use during the Vietnam war, where they were in their natural habitat.

Enough of the history though, these are styled off the original US Military boots. The quality canvas and nylon upper is breathable yet strong. There is also a metal shank inside the sole. No this is not a James Bond style hidden knife, it's actually for protection from bamboo stake traps or other things that could penetrate the sole. If you're going outdoors, these are the boots you'll be needing.

*Note* These are not the original GI Jungle boots. We do not rate these for military use.

Features:

  • Canvas and nylon upper
  • Steel shank
  • Rubber "Panama" style sole
  • Leather toe, heel and lace area

Cadet Boots

Very nice boots, nice and light yet very strong. A quick warning however, when you do get them, note that the sizes are a little weird so you should get them in store, for me an us11w fitted while my usual shoe size is uk12/us13
But other than the not really flaw, these boots are amazing.

Good, a little over sized

Seem like nice boots, good looking. I'd agree with other reviewers that they seem a little oversized; e.g. I ordered UK13 and probably needed UK12.5, or even UK12.

disappointing.

Got a pair from Auckland store.Wore them over summer mainly bunny shooting on farm land.Had to put inner soles in to make more comfortable on hard dry ground. So far ,so good.Wore them at beginning of winter, got soaked to the bones. Not sure what type of leather the Chinese makers used, but when wet they wore through the toe on one boot .When having a good look at boots,I noticed the other sole was coming off at heel.

The parcel took only four days to get to Brisbane good and quick service. The web site has a large variety of products at fair prices ,well done. I originally had a pair of these boots and used them whilst I was serving in the Army during the early 1980’s, they are still going strong even now after many adventures and much tough love. So when I saw these on line I was pleased and thus checked the manufactures website to find information pertaining to these boots. So after examining the information I purchased a pair of the boots. They look the fairy similar to my original pair but the quality is somewhat different from the US military grade of footwear. More reinforced stitching plus the steel plate is from the front to the back of the boot. In the write-up mention is made that they are not military grade. I later noticed that the manufacturers USA web site list all their footwear as being made in CNA ( China). This is not always a bad thing perhaps just different that the original USA made boots. My original pair are size 12R so if you are choosing a pair my estimation is that they are about 2 sizes bigger and also very broad in fit. Also I noticed that the height of the toe box much higher(see attached photos) So I have added a photo of both my original US issue boots and the new pair. So I you are buying them perhaps measure your foot and send a request to double check size. I’ll try a size10w and see how that goes. I must admit ordering online makes things a little more difficult. Have requested a return a get a size 10. Looking forward to see how this works since I’m in Australia. Hope this might help you select the right size. Cant wait to get the replacement too see how they stack up. Otherwise all is good dealing with this company regards Wayne
