Description
With the widespread introduction of 1970's Soviet night vision equipment, the US designed this odd looking pattern to hide their IR signature at night. The uniform set was designed to be worn over your field uniform once night falls. To accommodate this, these trousers pockets are completely open so you can access pockets on the intended bottom layer. Curiously enough, soldiers were fond of the uniform due to the extra layer to wear on cold desert nights - the 'camo' however turned out to be completely obsolete by time of issue due to more modern IR advances.
The pattern was discontinued in service during the 1990s and never produced in massive numbers, making these more scarce by the day. Grab a set while you can for your US collection!
