Description
Crikey look at this little beauty! Be like a backwards kangaroo and slap this butt pack on your behind. The Australian Disruptive Pattern Camouflage Uniform (DPCU), affectionately known as Auscam, slowly rolled out from late 1980's. Despite the global domination of the Multicam family of camouflages, Auscam is still the bane of Antipodean surplus merchants. No worries though mates, we have some commercial new items to tide us over, like this butt pack.
This wee fella has impressive storage capabilities and cinches down flatter than a wallaby on a highway, with compression straps. The lid fastens with two plastic clips and has a clear insert on top to place a label or name tag. Inside, a synthetic waterproof lining to help out if your C-rations get body slammed or used wet weathers are stored and you don't want to look like you've made an oopsie. Alternatively and more likely, the lining will also keep the wet weather out and your gear dry. In beany boldness, the Auscam printed outer layer is made from a rugged and lightweight 600 denier nylon. To the back are two plastic rings as attachment points to a harness and two vertical slots in the webbing to thread ALICE clips through. Hop to it, chuck your rations, extra layers or whatever you want in there.
