The Germans became the first real pioneers of widespread camouflage patterns throughout World War 2. In particular, the Waffen SS despite being relatively small to begin with took up the lions share in the number of designs employed. Erbenmuster or otherwise better known as 'Pea dot' was first issued in 1944. Unlike its predecessor camos, this uniform was not designed to be reversible and the camo intended to be used all year round.
These reproductions do a pretty decent job in build - made in a unique cotton twill pattern just like the originals makes them pretty robust. One key difference to note is the originals had a 5th colour - another slightly different hue of green which seems to have been omitted. The cap features a stiff but foldable brim to cover your eyes from sunlight.
