Description
Zambia adopted their flag in 1964 upon achieving independence, with slight modifications in 1996. The tricolour in the bottom right represents the nations mineral wealth, the Zambian people and the country's struggle for freedom. The African fish eagle is positioned overhead as a representation of the peoples ability to overcome the nations problems.
The flag has a white strip on the side with two metal eyelets.
