Description
Slovenia adopted their flag in 1991 shortly after gaining independence from Yugoslavia. The flag is very similar to Slovakia's one, the only difference being the unique Slovenian coat of arms. The coat of arms portrays Slovenia's highest mountain 'Triglav' and the Adriatic Sea. The three stars are taken from the Counts of Celje, the great Slovene dynastic house of the 14-15th centuries.
The flag has a white strip on the side with two metal eyelets.
