This British PLCE Daypack Yoke, enables two PLCE side pouches from the PLCE Infantry Bergen to be attached, and be used as a 20 litre daypack. Made from strong 1000 denier waterproof Cordura nylon and a mesh back for sweat ventilation.

For the correct setup, you will need additional link straps to attach the pouches. If you're not looking to create a make-shift setup, the British Army PLCE DPM Yoke has all of the correct straps.

Side pouch yolk PLCE

A PLCE british army yoke issued to troops to connect two side pouches on the Bergen to create one day pack, I'm currently doing up one of these for a day to day pack and possibly hiking pack. with this yoke highly recommended for this purpose only, I wouldnt recommend using this as the standard yoke for webbing set as im not sure if its intended purpose is for that but overall good product cheers Army and Outdoors

Caveat Emptor

I'd recommend the "British Army PLCE DPM Yoke" instead of this - unless you have reasons such as costuming, time-period authenticity or not wanting to look too tacti-cool. As very clearly pictured, this yoke doesn't come with the 20mm straps that have 3x 20mm male clips on them so you'll need to source those elsewhere. For double the price, the "British Army PLCE DPM Yoke" comes with the straps in proper webbing material.
As it was, I bought two of these OD yokes and cut the clips off one and used some 20mm strapping from the local sewing store to make the straps I needed. This worked out pretty well because I got to place the adjustors at the shoulder strap and also added a female 20mm connector so the straps can be used as compression straps too. I also made the straps a bit longer so that I can clip them to a side-pouch top-to-bottom and make a less-comfortable harness-less backpack in a pinch. The extra length makes them useful as 20mm compression straps when carrying two pouches on my other harness (the DPM one).
The harness is comfortable to carry. It has more padding than the sewn-on harness used in the "British Army Single Day Pack". It carries nicely over PLCE webbing too.
