Description

Long time no Schanigarten
They're back, the fabled Austrian combats. Softer than the mountain footwear, these elusive boots are hard wearing and pretty good nick for their age.

Designed for combat situations, means that these boots are more than capable of handling a variety of outdoor terrain and are more lightweight than the mountain boots. The leather material is both sturdy and flexible, giving them an advantage over more rigid boots, for activities like hiking or trekking. These are a fantastic pair of boots for paintball, airsoft - or those who just live in combat boots, offering great protection and mobility. As usual, these boots were made for walking, so get your size if you see it.

Features:

  • Genuine Austrian Army surplus
  • Quality leather material
  • Hard wearing rubber sole
  • Flexible upper
  • Combination of eyelets and lace hooks for laces

Good boots

The condition the boots were in was not ideal, they don't have the shine i would have liked but they look super cool and i'm sure there's a good reason for the condition there in (Austrian ranger parachuting).

Incredible and durable

Update to my review from 2 years ago: Incredible boots, been wearing these boots a lot in the parts two years and still wearing them even today. apart from the (very small) amount of wear on them they still work incredibly well today. I would advise that you should replace the inner sole with something different though. nothing has really changed since i bought them, they are still in perfect, wearable condition. and also great customer service from A&O not just for this product but for everything i have bought from them.

Good boots, great value

Ordered UK 9's, these are marked 43/8 on the tongue and fit my feet very well. A little bit narrow for my feet but I find this with all imported footwear and they will stretch eventually. The condition is very good, minor wear on upper and sole, the insoles are brand new which is nice although I'll replace them with something better anyway. They have had some sort of shiny coating sprayed on presumably to spruce them up for resale. Comfortable but very squeaky to wear. This seems to be a combination of the bellows tongue rubbing on itself and that coating and will probably resolve itself in time. Small hiccup with delivery, this was resolved very quickly.

These will be my new work boots, planning to get more so I can rotate them. Very pleased. Overall 4 stars for the boots plus an extra one for value and customer service.

Great quality military boots.

These boots came in excellent condition. Not leather defects, and they almost seem unworn. Laces came in good condition, and the eyelets and quick lacing tabs are still like new. The only issue I have with them is that there is a tiny little split on the front of the treads which will need to be addressed when it eventually opens up a little bit more (However this can be done at home easily) - and the treads are a little bit low however they still have many miles left in them.
For the price, these issues are fairly minor and can easily be repaired at a later date.
They are not only a cool bit of history being from the Austrian army, but they are good looking enough to wear into town.
Cheers, hope to order another pair in the future!
