Description
The M1956 Individual Load Carrying Equipment (ILCE) system was adopted after the Korean War and included these shovel covers. ILCE went on to be predominantly used in the Vietnam War and would go on to be used often in combination with its replacement - the ALICE system. Despite its tough canvas build, the material didn't lend itself well to jungle use due to the humidity. A simple snap dome secures your shovel in place while the ALICE clips on the rear secure it onto your web belt, pack, etc.
If you collect Vietnam War era gear and specifically M56 then you can't go past one of these covers! Add one to your collection before they disappear!
